Yvonne Denise Lewis was born March 3, 1970 to the union of Fred Lee Lewis Sr. and Barbara Jean Lewis. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she transitioned from this earthly realm to be with our Lord and Savior on February 3, 2024.
She grew up in North Avondale, where she attended Walnut Hills High School and later graduated from Hughes High School. Yvonne was an exceptional student and a beautiful model. After graduating from high school, she attended Cincinnati State Technical College. Then, after working numerous jobs, she found her calling, helping people with developmental disabilities and at-risk kids.
She was a devoted Christian, ordained minister and a faithful member at Word Alive Christian Fellowship Church. Henceforward, she loved spending time with her family and friends, traveling and experiencing new wonders. Yvonne was a safe haven for many people. She was very easy to talk to and understanding. She was encouraging and a ray of sunshine no matter the battle she was fighting. She had an exquisite fashion sense and a witty sense of humor. She extended love and was a blessing to everyone and was too good for this world.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Lewis.
Those who are left to cherish her memories: her father, Fred Lewis Sr.; daughter, Talia Lewis; grandchildren, Elijah Lavon and Amyia Denise Lewis; siblings, Sharon Lewis, Fred (Tangie) Lewis, Chris (Priscilla) Lewis, Micara (Jo) Gattone; seven nephews, six nieces, 25 great nephews and nieces and a host of other family and friends.
